Tanger Med participated in the “World Ports Conference 2021” organized by the International Association of Port and Harbors (IAPH) in partnership with IHS Markit and the Port of Antwerp, from June 22 to 25, 2021 under the theme “Changing the Guard.”
The event is an international meeting of the world’s largest port authorities. Several themes were addressed in the fields of climate and energy, innovation, risks and resilience, data collaboration, etc.
Tanger Med took part in this important global event and hosted 5 conference sessions under the following topics :
• Free Zone development
• African Maritime Trade and Landlocked Countries
• The Impact of Increasing Vessel Sizes on African Ports
• Applying Port Call Optimization in Practice
• Keynote: The Century of Africa, during which Tanger Med intervened alongside Hapag Lloyd about the competitiveness of African ports
Through this participation, Tanger Med reaffirms its commitment to the largest stakeholders in
the global port sector, to offer tailored solutions to customers and partners, as well as to initiate a
common vision of the port sector of tomorrow.
