Dalia Clean Beach is a dynamic program that continues to evolve over time. The Foundation mobilized this summer to contribute to the national campaign “B7ar Bla Plastic” led by the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Protection of the Environment.
The Foundation commissioned the sculptor Mohamed AFAILAL to create a sculpture in the form of a fish made from recycled wrought iron.
With the participation of young association stakeholders and under the watchful eye of summer vacationers, especially children, the fish was filled with plastic bottles, thus providing a sight that calls out to us all. The emphasis was placed on strong messages to be conveyed:There will soon be more plastic than fish in the ocean; the plastic that pollutes the sea ends up on our plates.
The work of art raised awareness among visitors and led to discussions about the risks that plastic pollution poses to marine ecosystems and the need to respect biodiversity.
