Hapag-Lloyd recently extended the coverage of its Europe – Red Sea service, the “Jeddah Express” (JDX), by including Turkey in its itinerary. This strategic development marks an important step in strengthening maritime connections in the Mediterranean and beyond this revised rotation, with an inaugural departure on November 23, 2024 from Jeddah.
As part of this expansion, new calls in Mersin and Yarimca have been added to the northbound route. Furthermore,
Tanger Med will now replace Valencia, consolidating the Moroccan port’s key role in Hapag-Lloyd’s global network.
To support this expansion, a sixth vessel, the LITTLE EMMA, has been added to the operational loop. The new JDX service rotation includes the following ports: Anvers, Valence, Damiette, Djeddah, Damiette, Mersin, Yarimca, Tanger Med, and back to Anvers.
SYNERGY ANTWERP was the first ship to follow this revised rotation, with an inaugural departure on November 23, 2024 from Jeddah.
