The “Confédération Générale des Entreprises du Maroc”, the “Confederación Española de Organizaciones Empresariales”, and the Morocco-Spain Economic Council organized the Morocco-Spain Economic Forum in Rabat on February 1st and 2nd .
This meeting, which was also attended by Tanger Med Group, brought together government representatives and economic stakeholders from both countries, to draw up the key areas of new cooperation and establish the roadmap for the coming years, with the aim of strengthening bilateral economic relations, promoting new economic partnerships, and accelerating the pace of investment and co-investment in priority sectors.
In his statement, Mr. Chakib Alj, President of the “Confédération Générale des Entreprises du Maroc” (General Confederation of Moroccan Businesses), stressed the importance of Tanger Med as a key lever for the Moroccan economy and its role in supporting trade between Spain and Morocco.
Tanger Med Port Complex is currently connected to 4 Spanish ports, including Algeciras, Malaga, Barcelona, and Motril. The Group’s industrial platform includes over 100 Spanish companies located in the various industrial zones.
