On December 1st and 2nd, Tangier City hosted the first round of regional logistics meetings. An event organized by “Logismed” under the aegis of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, in partnership with the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Logistics, the Regional Investment Center of Tanger Tétouan-Al Hoceima, Tanger Med Port Authority and other partners around the theme “Logistics, a major economic development lever for the territory”.
This year’s event is in line with the regional variation of the “Logismed” trade show and the continuation of its task to promote the culture of logistics and the wealth of its trades throughout the Kingdom. It highlighted the crucial importance of logistics as a catalyst for the economic development of territories, capable of attracting productivity and job-creating investments.
In his speech at the roundtable discussion entitled “The role of logistics in attracting investment and developing world trade: focus on Tanger Med Port”, Director of Import-Export Operations for the Port Complex, Mr. Idriss Aarabi, highlighted the strengths of Tanger Med, the leading national logistics platform, and affirmed its position as a logistics hub at the heart of the global supply chain thanks to an infrastructure that meets the best international standards
