In keeping with previous events, Tanger Med Port organized an information and exchange day in Agadir with exporters of the Souss-Massa region in October 2022.
This meeting was an opportunity to review the services of the Port Complex and strengthen the partnership with various stakeholders including exporters, shipowners, carriers, and forwarders.
In his speech, the Managing Director of Tanger Med Port, Mr. Hassan Abkari, stressed that this gathering aims to strengthen the partnership with various economic operators in the Souss-Massa region, given that this part of the Kingdom has important assets in terms of export. In addition, Tanger Med plays a key role in facilitating Moroccan agri-food industry exports, notably through a dedicated export platform, a refrigerated unit for logistics operations, multi-modal road and sea transport, and maritime connectivity to more than 180 ports and 70 countries.
In his speech, the Director of Import-Export Operations for Tanger Med Port, Mr. Idriss Arabi, emphasized the significance of this meeting whose aim is to make all services of Tanger Med Port available, and thus consolidate cooperation between the Port and its partners.
It is noteworthy that the Souss-Massa region is the leading exporter of citrus fruits and early vegetables with more than 85% of exports of early vegetables and 65% of citrus fruits, making this region one of the main export divisions for fruits and vegetables from Tanger Med Port.
